About the Trust
Devbhoomi Divyangjan Gurukul is a registered public charitable trust (Registration Number: 313/2025), headquartered in Sudhowala, Vikasnagar, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). The main objective of our establishment is the all-round development of Divyangjan, especially visually impaired persons and disadvantaged sections of society.
Led by Founder and Managing Trustee, Shri Amit Singh Negi, a visually impaired teacher dedicated to understanding challenges at the grassroots level. The Trust is managed by an experienced Board including Smt. Sita Mehra (Secretary) and Mr. Rohit Singh Rawat (Treasurer).

Why the need for an Offline Center?
Technological advancements have made online education possible, but its outcomes for visually impaired persons are limited. A physical center is an indispensable cornerstone for empowerment.
Limitations of Online Learning
Computer software (NVDA/JAWS) and smartphone accessibility are difficult to learn by listening only; they require a trainer's personal presence and hands-on experience.
Orientation & Mobility
Mobility training can be effectively delivered only within a physical premises designed with barrier-free infrastructure.
Peer Learning
When students with disabilities live together, they learn from each other's experiences, leading to an unprecedented boost in confidence.

(a) Construction & Infrastructure: ₹50,00,000
Includes a two-storey building, classrooms, hostels, dining hall, temple, tactile pathways, ramps, and elevators.
(b) Technical Equipment & Furniture
Smart Lab equipment (NVDA/JAWS), Tactile Displays, modern residential furniture, and 24-hour CCTV surveillance.
(c) Student Wellbeing
Nutritious food, medical facilities, and maintenance of special vehicles.
